Dr. Srikumar Rao has founded the Rao Institute, which is a community of driven, ambitious people who find deep meaning in their lives. Through the power of happiness, Srikumar has found that success and riches will follow as you will be more driven and committed to achieving more in your own life.
“The vision I have for you is that, when you wake up in the morning, your blood is singing at the thought of being who you are and doing what you do. That as you go through the day, you can literally sink to your knees in gratitude at the tremendous good fortune that has been bestowed on you. That as you go through the day, you become radiantly alive several times. And if your life isn’t like that, I would like to humbly suggest that you are wasting your life. Life is too short to be wasted.”
Dr. Srikumar Rao has deduced that in life, a lot of people feel they need to get something, to have something, to then be happy. It’s called the ‘If-Then’ model; if this happens, then we will be happy. This model itself is flawed, but instead of realising that, many people will instead change the If, to see if they will then find happiness from a different task. This constant changing of the If is never ending, so instead, Dr. Rao feels you should work on your own personal happiness with what you have.
He has written many books on success and happiness, which work as fantastic tools for building up your own success in various aspects of your life. His latest book, Modern Wisdom, Ancient Roots: The Movers and Shakers’ Guide to Unstoppable Success, focuses on challenging your own thinking, so that you are not using flawed models to try to find happiness and are instead working on your own tranquillity and success within yourself.
At the 2025 Happy Workplace Conference, Dr. Srikumar Rao is going to be giving a talk on how to achieve great success while remaining serene as a zen monk, something that can be hard to manage, as often success comes with stresses beyond our real control. He takes a look at the direction and mindset of those who have achieved success and how to keep yourself more focused on being calm and finding the happiness.
