The Sunday Times Best Place to Work UK has been released this year, with Happy featured on the list under the Small company category. This year, the award is in partnership with WorkL, to help showcase the Best Places to Work within the UK.
Happy has been acknowledged as a Sunday Times Best Place to Work and successfully recognised for having consistently high levels of employee experience and wellbeing. This nationwide workplace survey honours and celebrates the UK’s top employers – which number over 500 organisations across industries and sizes – and acknowledges the best workplaces for women, LGBTQIA+ community, people with disabilities, Global Majorities, younger and older people, and wellbeing.
Henry, founder and Chief Happiness Officer at Happy, said:
“When I set up Happy, I wanted it to be an organisation that delighted the customer, was a great place to work and fulfilled its staff. I love the fact that at Happy, 99% have a good relationship with their manager and that nobody wants to leave.”
If you are curious about how this award works; The Sunday Times partnered with the platform WorkL’s employee engagement survey, which was developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, academics, and other independent parties to most accurately monitor employee engagement, wellbeing and discretionary effort in the workplace. With six-step frameworks in mind, Happy was measured and scored well in all of the categories; Reward and Recognitions, Instilling Pride, Information Sharing, Empowerment, Wellbeing and Job Satisfaction.
Zoe Thomas, editor of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, said:
“The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025 employers have brought clever and inventive ideas to bear on their workforces: whether entrusting every employee with a company credit card, extending the dog-friendly office policy to include pet bereavement leave, or simply training employees sensibly so they feel empowered and enthused about their jobs. These are companies where staff have a spring in their step on Monday mornings and a willingness to go the extra mile.”
